Mother Earth was an anarchist monthly founded by Emma Goldman in March 1906 and published from New York until the Post Office shut it down in August 1917 under the Espionage Act. Goldman edited it first with Max Baginski and later with Alexander Berkman, running anarchist argument alongside poetry, drama and literary criticism, and covering free speech, birth control, labor struggles and the case against conscription.
